Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi – Welcome & Orientation
Day 2: Hanoi – Historical Context & Understanding (B)
Today focuses on historical background, providing context to Vietnam’s past and its relationship with the United States.

- Visit Hoa Lo Prison Museum, known to Americans as the “Hanoi Hilton,” presented with balanced commentary and sensitivity

- Explore the Ba Dinh area, including Ba Dinh Square and surrounding historic landmarks

Day 3: Hanoi – Flight to Hue – Imperial Legacy (B)
Fly from Hanoi to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam.
- Visit the Imperial Citadel (Dai Noi), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to understand Vietnam’s pre-war history and governance
- Visit the Dong Ba area, offering insight into daily life and local commerce
The day highlights Vietnam’s identity beyond conflict, showing the nation’s deep cultural roots. Stay overnight in Hue.
Day 4: Hue – DMZ Region – Khe Sanh (B)
Travel north to the former Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), one of the most significant areas of the Vietnam War.
- Visit Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, a site of heavy fighting and remembrance
- Explore Vinh Moc Tunnels, where civilians lived underground to survive aerial bombardment
- Stop at the Ben Hai River and Hien Luong Bridge, the former dividing line between North and South Vietnam
- Visit Ta Con Air Base (Khe Sanh Combat Base), a site of major U.S. military operations

Day 5: Khe Sanh – Battlefield Sites – Hue (B)
Continue exploring key locations along former battle zones and supply routes:

- Stop at Dakrong Bridge, a strategic crossing along the Ho Chi Minh Trail
- Visit Abiah Hill (Hamburger Hill area), one of the most intense battle sites of the war
In the afternoon, return to Hue, allowing time to rest and reflect after an emotionally significant day. Stay overnight in Hue.
Day 6: Hue – Hai Van Pass – Da Nang – Hoi Aa (B)
Travel south via the scenic Hai Van Pass, once a strategic military route and now one of Vietnam’s most beautiful coastal roads.
- Stop at viewpoints along the pass
- Visit the Da Nang Museum, offering regional historical perspective
Continue to Hoi An, a peaceful and charming town that represents Vietnam’s recovery and transformation. Enoy evening at leisure in the lantern-lit Old Town. Stay overnight in Da Nang or Hoi An.
Day 7: Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi (B)
Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground network that demonstrates the ingenuity and endurance of those who lived and fought during the war. The visit is conducted at a comfortable pace, with optional participation based on individual interest. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City – Reflection – Flight to Phnom Penh (B)
Visit key historical sites:
- War Remnants Museum, presented with guided interpretation mindful of American veterans
- Reunification Palace, marking the end of the war and the beginning of reunification
After the visit, transfer to the airport for departure flight to Phnom Penh, Capital of Cambodia.
Welcomed on arrival at Techo International Airport, meet your guide and transferred to the hotel for stay overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 9: Phnom Penh – Wat Phnom – Royal Palace (B)
After breakfast, meet your guide and escorted to explore the city’s history, culture, and local life. First visit the serene and peaceful hilltop temple Wat Phnom, the symbol of Phnom Penh, from where the city got its name.
Next visit Royal Palace, a complex home of Cambodian royal family and a symbol of the nation. Explore Khmer-style royal complex including Silver Pagoda with hundreds of meters of frescos depicting an episode of the Indian epic Ramayana, other valuable ancient art objects (mostly Buddha figures) made of gold, silver, bronze, diamonds, etc., stupas and shrines of Cambodian previous kings.
Dropped off at hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10: Phnom Penh – Ratanakiri (B)
After breakfast, transferred to Ratanakiri Province and stay overnight.
Day 11: Rattanakiri – Elephant Camp (B)
After breakfast, visit elephant camp located in the province of Ratanakiri in the far north-east of Cambodia. Enjoy washing and feeding the elephant. Stay overnight in Ratanakiri.
Day 12: Rattanakiri – Siem Reap (B)
After breakfast, driven to Siem Reap. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 13: Siem Reap – Angkor Wat – Angkor Thom – Ta Promh Temple (B)
After breakfast, meet your guide and transferred to visit the world wonder heritage temple “Angkor Wat” and learn about the history behind the largest religious monument. You will be amazed to see spectacular stone carvings, the overall structures, and the greatest architecture of Angkor Empire. Our guide will show you around this huge temple complex and take you back to the fascinating history of Angkor Wat. After spending a few hours to explore and admire this huge temple complex, visit ANGKOR THOM CITY including BAYON TEMPLE, THE ROYAL ENCLOSURE PHIMEANAKAS, BAPOUN TEMPLE, THE ELEPHANT TERRACE and THE TERRACE OF THE LEPER KING.
In the afternoon, visit the amazing temple of the Jungle, Ta Promh, partially covered by the forest – roots of fig, banyan and kapok trees surround the roofs of the temple.

Day 14: Siem Reap – Floating Village – City Tour (B)
After breakfast, meet your guide and escorted to visit Tonle Sap, a permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. Ride the motorboat to explore the Floating Village in the giant lake of Asia. Witness the fishermen life with beautiful landscape covered by green swamp forests, with floating schools, police station, etc. Go shopping at the floating souvenir shop, visit the floating crocodile and fish farms.
Next visit Buddhism temple, Wat Preah Prom Rath, historical Buddhist temple complex with colorful pagodas and beautiful gardens. End this evening tour at Artisan D’Angkor, the rebirth of Khmer arts, and traditional wood and stone carving.

Day 15: Siem Reap – Departure (B)
After breakfast, check out and transferred to Siem Reap Angkor International Airport for departure flight at the end of the services.
